FAQs
Who can refer a temple?
Anyone who knows of a temple that needs to be restored or supported can refer — villagers, devotees, caretakers, or well-wishers.
What kind of temples can be referred?
Temples that are structurally damaged, lack daily pooja, have no trustees, no pandits/priests or have been abandoned can be referred via our website. Both big and small village temples are welcome.
What information should I provide while referring?
Please share basic details like temple name, location, deity name, current condition, contact person, and some recent photos if possible. The more details, the better for us to understand the state of the temple and the extent to which we can support.
What happens after I submit the temple details?
Our team will review the information, get in touch with you if needed, and schedule a site visit or verification call to assess the temple’s condition.
Is there any cost involved for referring a temple?
No, referring a temple for restoration is completely free. It is a voluntary service to help preserve our spiritual heritage.
Will Sri Sevalaya Trust immediately start work after a referral?
After a site visit and verification, the temple’s condition, community involvement, and feasibility are considered. Based on priority and resources, restoration or support work is planned within a week to fifteen days upon receipt of request.
After the restoration is done, who maintains the temple?
Once restoration is complete, the temple is handed back to the local village or town authority, elders, or community caretakers to continue its daily worship and upkeep.
I have more questions about the process. Who can I contact for more details?
